We keep working on the game and this is Dev Diary #4!
Preparing for the launch of the pre-alpha version of the game
We plan to launch the pre-alpha version of the game in the first quarter of 2024. In the pre-alpha version of the game, you will be able to:
- Choose your favorite nickname, including one with three or four characters.
- Receive daily rewards in the in-game currency (Gatia Coins).
- Take on jobs in the game, earning Gatia Coins and leveling up your mining skills.
- Receive bonus Gatia Coins for working a sufficient number of hours per day.
- Participate in training battles and gain your first few combat levels.
We would like to remind you that our game is free to play and does not require the purchase of any NFTs. All game mechanics will be accessible for free, as it is one of our core principles.
In the upcoming developer diaries, we will provide more detailed information about the key game mechanics that will be introduced in the pre-alpha version of the game.
New Free NFT Drops
We’ve updated the staking table on our website (https://neuroborncats.com/#nft-stacking). It now showcases all common and uncommon cards from The Gathering episode in the neuroborncat collection. We’ll continue to distribute a small number of NFTs from this collection for our Discord community, with sudden drops of rare items planned in the near future. Check the #drops channel to claim them.
Rare card drops will be available to all members of our community, while distributions of epic and legendary rarity cards will prioritize Eternal Whitelist Pass holders.
If you want to collect more cards in advance, some whitelist passes are available on the secondary market (https://wax.atomichub.io/market?primary_chain=wax-mainnet&template_id=597148&order=asc&sort=price). Additionally, we plan to keep giving away whitelist passes within our community.
Neuroborncat NFT Collection (https://wax.atomichub.io/explorer/collection/neurocatsnft) is the primary collection for in-game staking. NFTs staked in the system will provide various in-game bonuses to the character, facilitating its development. The implementation of the staking mechanism in the game is planned for the 2nd or 3rd quarter of this year. Shortly before the launch, we intend to conduct a paid drop of packs containing cards from the neuroborncat collection, available to the entire crypto community (though whitelist pass holders will have early access).
About Badges on Atomic Hub
We have obtained identity and content badges on our main gaming collection at https://wax.atomichub.io/explorer/collection/neurocatsnft. The content badge confirms AtomicHub’s approval of the authorship of our NFTs, the absence of copyright issues, and the absence of prohibited content in our collection. The identity badge is granted to collections whose authors pass a KYC check with an officially recognized ID and proof of address. Gaming collections undergo more thorough checks by the AtomicHub team, and we are pleased to have successfully passed all inspections.
Blend Epic Stickers
Within Neuroborncat collection, there’s an epic rarity level sticker blend available. It will require two rare-level stickers. Epic stickers provide rare and valuable bonuses when placed into the in-game staking system. Some of these bonuses might not be available in the initial game releases but will certainly be beneficial for high-level characters.

Discontinuation of Public NFT Drops
As you might have noticed, we have ceased creating free drops that were accessible to any marketplace user. Unfortunately, a large portion of NFTs from such drops were being claimed by bots and ended up in the hands of bot farms instead of our community. Now, all our free drops are secured with a private key, and links with keys are exclusively published in our Discord channel.
Work-in-progress: The Flight of the Waxship: Episode 1.
As mentioned earlier, the Neuroborncat collection (https://wax.atomichub.io/explorer/collection/neurocatsnft) is the primary collection for in-game staking. However, it also serves another crucial function — introducing our community to the expanded universe of neuroborncats.
Our game is set on the planet Gatia, inhabited by cat-like beings known as Gatians. They are mostly artificially born, and before birth, planetary neural networks modify the genome of future Gatians based on planetary needs or the desires of the parents. Therefore, most Gatians can be referred to as Neuroborncats. Life in the gigapolises of Gatia is not all sunshine and rainbows; there are numerous unresolved issues ranging from overpopulation and a broken social ladder to street crime and rampant corruption. The situation is exacerbated by the fact that Gatia is the only habitable planet in its star system, and in case of a global catastrophe, Gatians would have nowhere to go. In an attempt to address this problem, the planetary government has organized the first interstellar mission using a series of experimental technologies to reach a neighboring star system.
The Neuroborncat collection is dedicated to describing the first interstellar flight of Gatians. It will consist of several NFT sets, each dedicated to a specific episode. Episode 0 (The Gathering) provides a brief introduction to the members of the Waxship starship team, and NFTs from this set have already been almost fully released by us on marketplaces. Episode 1 expands the visual representation of the starship team and, in the form of a short comic, provides more details about the events preceding the flight.
