Neuroborn Cats: in-game NFT staking
Hello, decentralists! In this article, we will tell you about the mechanics of game staking, what benefits it will bring to the player, and what bonuses it will give in the game.
Staking mechanics
Staking in Neuroborn Cats is a reward in the form of various game bonuses for storing certain NFTs in the player’s WAX wallet for a certain time. Our game staking is, in fact, the development of the classic “skills tree” in the “skills cloud”. From now on, you and only you decide which bonuses are more necessary for your character, and you can change them at any time, adjusting to the current style of play. Millions of game bonuses combinations are available to you so you can collect unique combinations for every taste and budget.
As supporters of decentralization, we do not approve of staking mechanics that exist in some projects, in which NFT must be transferred from the player’s wallet to the game’s wallet in order to be added to staking. Such a mechanic deprives the player’s control over his NFTs, and the game wallet, which stores collected NFTs, becomes an excellent target for hacker attacks. In our game, you do not need to transfer your NFTs anywhere to add them to staking, therefore, you retain full control over them.
Staking Rewards
After adding NFT to staking, various in-game bonuses immediately become available to the player. This can be an increase in the gained game experience or an increase in any of the player’s characteristics (stamina, health), an increase in the level of armor, accelerated recovery of health, and much more.
At the beginning of the game, the player has only ten slots available for storing NFTs in staking, but as the character develops, the number of slots will increase. Only one NFT can be stored in each slot, bonuses from NFTs in different slots are summed up. For example, if there are NFTs in three slots with bonuses of +25%, +50% and +100% to the economic experience gained, then the final bonus will be +175%.
In future, we plan to add automatic accrual of economic experience for staking any NFT, regardless of its rarity and game bonus. If the player keeps game NFTs in staking for some time in a row (10, 30, 50, 100 and 200 days), then the amount of daily experience gained will increase, and the player will also receive a one-time bonus with economic experience points. If a player removes a certain NFT from staking, then the existing bonus to the amount of daily experience will disappear and it will have to be accumulated again.
Adding NFT to staking
You can add or change NFT for staking in the “Stakes NFT” menu item in the character profile. The “Active NFTs” page shows all NFTs available for staking with active gaming bonuses. The “Not in staking” page displays all eligible staking NFTs you have in your WAX wallet. You can add and remove NFTs from staking an unlimited number of times. The list of NFTs in staking and bonuses from these NFTs are updated automatically in the following cases:
- entering the game;
- before any your fight;
- once an hour.
Also, the list of NFTs in staking can be updated manually by clicking on the “Refresh” icon on the “Active NFTs” page.
Staking NFTs do not take up space in the character’s total inventory and have no weight.
Currently, any cards from the Neuroborn Cats: The Gathering collection (including stickers and promo cards), as well as the Weird NFT Award NFTs, can be used for NFT staking. Depending on the rarity of the card, the composition and level of accrued bonuses may differ.
